ReNaissance is a wholly owned subsidiary of RFHL and its core business is the provision of investment banking services to diversified clientele in Corporate Zimbabwe and outside Zimbabwe. The Bank commenced business in January 2002 and since then has enjoyed phenomenal growth. For its first year of operation, the RBZ conducted an on-site examination in February 2003 and rated the Merchant Bank 1 [STRONG] based on the CAMELS System.
In 2004, the Bank was honoured with an SMME Award for being the “Best Medium Bank in Africa”.
In 2005, the Bank was entered in the open category of this competition in which it emerged as a runner up. The Africa SMME awards were established by the Africa Centre for Investment Analysis(ACIA), a research institution within the University of Stellenbosch Business School in 2002 “to create awareness of the need and the opportunities for investment in Africa”.
